One of the first things that I had to start thinking about was giving my site a unique URL.  I really didn't know if I just wanted to use "peihuawu.tripod.com" or something different.  I figured that if I did that maybe it will be easier to remember.  As I thought about it more and more, I figured that would be kind of boring, so I wanted to come up with something more interesting.  So here it is: "doraemonpowu".

 

Most normal non-Asian people would say, "What the heck does that mean?"  Well, to break it down, "doraemon" is the name of my favorite cartoon character.  Doraemon is a Japanese cartoon that is very popular in Taiwan.  He can be traced all the way back to my childhood.  He is a robot cat from the future.  He has a pocket on his tummy that holds just about every imaginable technology in the world.  He always comes up with a bunch of neat things to save his owner, Nobita, who is the biggest wimp in the world next to me, of course.

 

The second part of my URL "powu" is just my nickname.  Po was the nickname that my sister gave me and Wu, if you haven't gotten it figured out, is my last name.
